Dr. Jimmie Wright has been the pastor of New Mount Olive Baptist Church in Wharton, Texas for the past 32 years.  Wright came to Texas in 1951 and married his wife in 1954.  They have two sons, Major Lee Wright and Jimmie Wright, Jr., and a daughter, Kathy Elaine Wright.  To date, they are blessed with 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
